Esther Coenen Apr

Esther Burnett is a skilled communications professional with extensive experience in various advisory and managerial roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Communications Advisor at Bay of Plenty Regional Council since June 2022, Esther previously held similar positions at Waikato Regional Council and the New Zealand National Fieldays Society. During a brief stint at the Waikato Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group, Esther contributed to the COVID-19 regional response as Regional Public Information Manager and Social Media Manager. A strong background in marketing and event coordination was developed at Waikato Food Inc and Home Kitchen NZ, the latter being a social enterprise supporting the refugee community. Esther holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from The University of Waikato, a Graduate Diploma in Communication from Wintec, and has completed several additional educational certifications in management and public engagement.
