Pete Hennessey

Pete Hennessey is an experienced communications professional with a comprehensive background in external and internal communication functions across various sectors. Currently serving as the Communications Team Leader and Communications Partner at Bay of Plenty Regional Council since June 2022, Pete has previously held key roles including Communications Manager for the Covid-19 response at Bay Of Plenty District Health Board, and Communications Director at Western Bay of Plenty District Council. With expertise in media relations and stakeholder engagement, Pete has also contributed to organizations such as Botica Conroy & Associates, Carter Holt Harvey, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs. Academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science from Massey University and a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington.
