Stacey Faire

Stacey Faire is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Science Team Leader and Senior Planner at Bay of Plenty Regional Council since June 2019, where responsibilities include implementing the Regional Coastal Environment Plan and providing policy support for various resource management initiatives. Additionally, Stacey is a co-convenor for the Coastal Management Special Interest Group within Te Uru Kahika, which focuses on the integrated management of New Zealand's coastal and marine resources. Prior experience includes roles at Coast and Catchment Ltd, the Department of Conservation, the Ministry for the Environment, CEFAS in the UK, and Auckland Regional Council, with a strong focus on community engagement, policy development, and environmental risk assessment. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Geography and Environmental Science from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor's degree in Resource and Environmental Planning from The University of Waikato.
