Environmental Operations Engineer

Albern Tan possesses extensive experience in environmental and biological research, having held roles as an undergraduate researcher at various institutions, including Purdue University, Arizona State University, and the Laboratory of Biomass and Waste Valorization at City University in Hong Kong. Tan's research focused on optimizing enzyme conditions for fructose production, phytoglycogen size measurement, and soil composition analysis. At Washington University in St. Louis, Tan served as a laboratory safety manager, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and as an assistant to the instructor, leading lectures and grading for courses on aquatic chemistry and mass transfer operations. Currently, as an environmental operations engineer at Bayer, Tan provides internal research and engineering support for wastewater treatment operations.
