Aveen Alkhatib, PhD, is currently the Lead Process Engineer for CMC Drug Product at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, having progressed from roles such as Sr Process Engineer in Drug Product. Previously, Aveen worked at BASF as a Sr. Bioprocess DSP Technology Engineer, focusing on downstream processing technology development and manufacturing support. Prior to that, Aveen held various positions at Bayer, including Scientist II in Formulation and Process Development, where they developed microbial formulations and downstream processes for biological crop protection products. Aveen also gained research experience as a Graduate Scholar and Research Associate, and completed an internship focused on biological protein drugs.
