Ben Hunter is currently the Trait Genetics Lead at Bayer, where they oversee an international team of scientists and research associates to support vegetable breeders with genetic tools and native trait loci. Previously, Ben served as the Global Trait Discovery Lead and conducted research as a Vegetable Discovery Trait Geneticist at Bayer. Ben earned a Ph.D. in Plant Genetics from the University of Cambridge and completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Plant Science at The University of Edinburgh. Additionally, Ben was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University, focusing on the genetics and genomics of plants related to evolution and adaptation.
