Benjamin Buer

Benjamin Buer has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics and data science, currently serving as a Data Science Fellow at Bayer since August 2013, where previous roles included Bioinformatics Scientist and PostDoc Bioinformatics. Prior to this, Benjamin Buer was the Head of SiROP Cologne at the SiROP Association from July 2010 to December 2011, focusing on the establishment and marketing of an online project platform at the University of Cologne. Benjamin Buer began a career in research as a Student Laboratory Assistant at the University of Cologne's Botanical Department and the Cologne Center for Genomics between 2007 and 2009. Academically, Benjamin Buer earned a PhD in Botany/Plant Biology, an MSc in Biology, and a BSc in Biology, all from the University of Cologne, completing these degrees between 2004 and 2013.
