Christopher Hwang is a Lead Data Scientist at The Climate Corporation, specializing in global agricultural systems. With expertise in machine learning, process-based models, and big data techniques, Christopher is dedicated to addressing complex challenges in global food production. They earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by a Master’s and Ph.D. in Agricultural Biological Engineering from the University of Florida. As a recipient of the 2015 Borlaug Fellowship, Christopher conducted research in Colombia as part of the USAID Feed the Future Initiative. They previously worked at Bayer as a Data Scientist and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida.
