Derek Freitag is currently the Customer Excellence Marketing Lead for Eastern Canada at Bayer, a role they began in 2024. Previously, they served as the Eastern Canada Market Development Lead at Bayer CropScience from 2019 to 2023 and as the Regional Agronomy Lead from 2018 to 2021, managing teams to provide technical expertise to corn and soybean growers. Derek also has extensive experience from their time at Monsanto Canada, where they held several positions, including DEKALB Field Agronomist and Seed and Trait Sales Manager. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Crop Science from the University of Guelph in 2001.
