Gene Zhang is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with extensive experience in delivering novel technologies in GMP and compliance. Currently a Senior Manager at Bayer HealthCare, Gene has pioneered a direct qPCR method for mycoplasma detection that gained FDA acceptance. Previously, Gene managed the genetic analysis department at Chiron Corporation, developing numerous assays for drug candidates. Gene holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Computer Science.
