Heather also gained experience as a Research Associate at Virginia Tech and as a Research Trial Manager at Monsanto, contributing to key agricultural research projects. They earned their Ph.D. and MS in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University, along with a BS in Microbiology from Clemson University.
