Jeff Ahrens is currently the Platform Lead for Trait Discovery & Testing at Bayer Crop Science, where they lead a team of over 35 scientists in developing advanced agricultural biotechnology and gene-edited products. Previously, they served as the Commercial Product Advancement Team Lead at Bayer from 2018 to 2020, and prior to that, they were the Cotton Insect Control Portfolio Lead at Monsanto Company from 2013 to 2017. Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and is working towards a Master's degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
