Joan Tan is an accomplished marketing executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Bayer since September 2015, leading marketing initiatives for growth brands in China. Prior to this, Joan held various leadership roles including VP, Head APAC Marketing Operations, and Regional Marketing Director for Cardiovascular at Bayer, where responsibilities included overseeing regional marketing for pivotal therapeutic areas. Previous experience includes serving as APAC Fertility Business Unit Director at MSD, where a new business model was implemented across seven markets, and holding various positions at Merck Sharp & Dohme, contributing significantly to brand management and product launches across multiple therapeutic areas. Joan holds an MBBS degree from the National University of Singapore, earned between 1986 and 1989.
