Laurent Bialy

Laurent Bialy is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and drug discovery, currently serving as the Head of Chemistry Excellence for Disease Control R&D at Bayer since May 2017. In this role, Laurent coordinates a global community focusing on collaborations, budgets, safety, and strategic digital innovation. Prior to Bayer, Laurent held various leadership positions at Sanofi, including Section Head of Integrated Drug Discovery and Head of Laboratory for Drug Discovery, managing research teams and projects related to small molecules and complex peptides. Laurent's earlier experience includes a position at BASF and a postdoctoral research role at the University of Southampton. Laurent earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Max Planck Society and University of Dortmund and holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
