Marcel van Dijen

Marcel van Dijen is a Senior Pathology Testing Research Specialist at Bayer Crop Science. They completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology at Universiteit Utrecht, following a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Their experience includes a significant internship at Utrecht University, where they researched genetic variations in A. thaliana and their effects on caterpillar performance. Additionally, Marcel completed a minor research internship at Bayer, focusing on disease bioassays in tomatoes, and conducted their MSc thesis project at Bejo Zaden. Prior to their academic journey, they worked as a sales associate at Albert Heijn.
