Markus Henkel

Markus Henkel is a GMP Validation Expert at Bayer AG and Steigerwald Arzneimittelwerk GmbH, where they have been involved in leading cleaning and process validations, project management, and developing risk assessments since 2016. Previously, they served as a qualification engineer and project leader at Testo Industrial Services GmbH from 2011 to 2016, focusing on the qualification of pharmaceutical technical systems and clean rooms. Their early experience includes internships and a diploma study at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, where they conducted research on DNA methylation and protein expression from 2006 to 2010. Markus holds a diploma in Biotechnology from Hochschule Mannheim, completed in 2010, and participated in a molecular microbiology practicum at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2008.
