Marlee Labroo is a Principal Traited Genome Design Scientist and Principal Quantitative Genetics Scientist at Bayer, bringing extensive experience in plant breeding and genetics. Previously, Marlee served as a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they fine-mapped mutations in maize and developed breeding lines using marker-assisted backcrossing. Marlee has also worked with the International Rice Research Institute and other academic institutions, contributing to various research projects and teaching initiatives. Marlee holds a Ph.D. in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Tulane University.
