Mathieu Gourgues

Mathieu Gourgues is currently the Small Molecules Plant Pathology Hub Lead at Bayer, where they drive innovation in plant pathology solutions. They previously held various leadership roles at Bayer, including Discovery and Plant Health Lead for EMEA breeding programs, and they were a Laboratory Manager focused on disease control. Mathieu's academic background includes a PhD in phytopathology from Université Paris Sud and research experience as an associate professor at Faculté des Sciences Valrose Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, where they specialized in plant pathogen interactions. Prior experience includes internships and roles in maize breeding at Maïsadour and molecular genetics at INRA.
