Melissa Penn, JD, MPH, is a Patient Engagement Leader and Health Equity Champion currently serving as Director of Patient Engagement R&D at Bayer, where they establish strategies to incorporate patient and caregiver perspectives in drug development. With a strong background in public health and law, Melissa previously founded and led the New York City Hemophilia Chapter, significantly impacting community fundraising and awareness. They also held roles including Deputy Director of Advocacy Relations at Bayer and Administrator of the National Cord Blood Program at the New York Blood Center. Their educational background includes degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Rutgers Law School, and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
