Michael Calvillo

Michael Calvillo, PhD, has extensive experience in human factors and user experience design, having worked in various roles since 1991. At Gateway from January 1991 to August 2000, Michael served as a Human Factors Engineer. Michael was an Associate Professor of Psychology at Morningside College from August 2009 to May 2012, where coursework focused on psychology and business administration. From July 2006 to October 2008, Michael directed training programs at Human Factors International, Inc. and later worked as a Usability Specialist at Monsanto Company from May 2012 to June 2013, where execution of user-centered design on an integrated farming systems platform was a key responsibility. Since June 2013, Michael has been with Bayer Crop Science, being promoted multiple times, and is currently a Senior UX Researcher, responsible for user requirements gathering and various aspects of user experience research. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology from the University of South Dakota between 2000 and 2003.
