Michael Leader currently serves as the Head of Regulatory Scientific Affairs for Bayer in the APAC region, a position held since August 2018, where Michael also leads Seed Regulatory efforts across APAC and Asia & Africa. Additionally, Michael has been the Chairperson of the Phytosanitary Committee for the International Seed Federation since June 2019 and holds the title of Immediate Past President and Board member of the Australian Seed Federation. Prior to these roles, Michael was with Monsanto Company from 2009 to 2018, leading various regulatory functions in Asia and Africa. Michael's career also includes significant positions at EuropaBio, CropLife International, and the Office of The Gene Technology Regulator, starting from 2000. Michael holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Laws degree from The Australian National University.
