Michael Pelsozy is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in advanced manufacturing and engineering leadership across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Ascend Elements, Michael is responsible for the technical and commercial start-up of the Apex 1 Facility in Kentucky. As the Global Director of Engineering at Bayer, oversight includes engineering, facilities, capital investment, and operational excellence for pharmaceutical supply sites on two continents. Previously, as the Engineering and Investment Director at MBCC Group, Michael led engineering and capital investment for numerous plants across the Americas. During tenure at BASF, a range of roles involved managing investment portfolios, leading engineering projects, and developing new market initiatives. Early experience as a Post Doctoral Fellow at NASA Glenn Research Center focused on electrochemistry and power systems. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
