Norbert Schmees

Norbert Schmees is an accomplished director in the field of life science chemistry, currently serving as the Director and Head of Life Science Chemistry 2 at Nuvisan Pharma Services Group since July 2020. With extensive experience at Bayer Pharmaceuticals since 2006, Norbert has held roles as Director of the Innovation Center Berlin for Life Science Chemistry 2, Senior Scientist, and Research Scientist, also overseeing the Automated Purification and Analysis Lab. Prior experience includes leadership positions as Head of the Process Research Lab and Med Chem Lab at Schering Aktiengesellschaft from 2000 to 2006. Norbert's academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and a Diploma from Heidelberg University, supplemented by research at the Max Planck Society.
