Randy Lee, PhD, is a Principal Systems Engineer at Bayer HealthCare, where they provide R&D engineering support for lifecycle and new product development projects in radiology. They joined Bayer in 2017 after earning a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where they developed the Hand-Held Force Magnifier, a novel surgical robot designed to assist surgeons. Prior to their doctoral studies, Randy obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. Their research interests include medical devices, surgical robotics, haptics, and psychophysics.
