Richard Lawrence

Richard Lawrence is the Head of Genome Editing, Yield, Disease, and Quality Research at Bayer Crop Science, where they lead initiatives in biotech research and development. They previously served as the Genotyping Discovery and Development Platform Lead and played a pivotal role at Monsanto Company as the Genome and Marker Design Platform Lead. Richard's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and a dual degree in Biology and English from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University, focusing on RNA interference and chromatin modifications.
