Rodrigo Santos

President, Crop Science Division at Bayer

Rodrigo Santos serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and as Chief Operating Officer for the Crop Science division of Bayer. Based in St. Louis, Mo. he oversees the company’s commercial operations across the Crop Science business, ensuring that Bayer is equipped to deliver best-in-class value and service to drive sustainable growth to customers worldwide.

Santos has spent over 23 years with the company, most recently serving as Head of Commercial Operations for Latin America, after leading the successful integration of the Bayer and Monsanto businesses in 2018. A Brazilian native, Santos has held leadership roles in sales, marketing, strategy, and business development, in Latin America and Eastern Europe. He is a strong proponent of inclusion and diversity talent pools and in the digital transformation of agriculture. Santos has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz – ESALQ/USP and holds a Master of Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas/Ohio University.

Santos believes active community engagement is important for agricultural leaders and has served on the Business Council for Sustainable Development, Governing Board of Biotech Companies Association, Biotech Information Council, and Chamber of Congress in Brazil.
