Sameer Upadhyay

Sameer Upadhyay, Ph.D. (Ag.), specializes in rice breeding, experimental designs, phenotyping, and crop production. Currently serving as a Testing Manager at Bayer, they oversee testing trials and collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality data collection and effective product testing. Previously, as a course instructor at Banaras Hindu University, Sameer imparted knowledge in crop production while emphasizing hands-on learning. Their doctoral research focused on developing recombinant inbred lines in rice and mapping genomic regions related to sodicity tolerance. Sameer holds multiple advanced degrees in genetics and plant breeding from Banaras Hindu University.
