Sami Joost

Sami Joost is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Cluster Head of Communication for Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, and the Middle East at Bayer since June 2023. With a strong track record in leadership and strategic communication, Sami has previously held roles such as Lead External Innovation & Partnerships for the Middle East and Head of Corporate Affairs, Sustainability & Open Innovation in the region. Responsibilities have included driving cross-functional collaboration, public affairs, and sustainability initiatives, as well as overseeing corporate communication at key international events. Prior to current roles, Sami gained extensive experience at Bayer in various communications and public affairs positions, complemented by freelance work in journalism and media. Sami holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Düsseldorf and has completed an Executive Education Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
