Sérgio Leal

Sérgio Leal is a dedicated MD and ophthalmologist currently serving as Vice President and Ophthalmology Development Lead at Bayer. With a strong focus on creating meaningful innovations for patients, Sérgio has held various leadership roles, including Director and Global Clinical Leader at Bayer. Prior to joining Bayer, Sérgio worked as a Clinical Investigator at AIBILI and as an MD at University Hospital of Coimbra. Sérgio obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Coimbra in 2002 and began their medical career in general practice at Centro Hospitalar de Coimbra.
