Thomas Kirchner

Thomas Kirchner is an accomplished leader in the engineering and manufacturing sectors, currently serving as SVP of Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence at Bayer Crop Science since January 2012. With extensive experience, Thomas has held multiple senior roles at Bayer Crop Science, including SVP Technology and Investments and Head of Technology & Manufacturing Strategy. Prior to his tenure at Bayer, Thomas held key positions at Bayer MaterialScience as VP of Manufacturing Polyurethanes and Plant Manager of Polycarbonates, as well as at LANXESS as Plant and Logistics Manager for Butyl Rubber, and earlier at Bayer in various roles related to technology development and process engineering. Thomas holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and has furthered professional development through alumni programs at Harvard Business School, IMD, and the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
