Torben Broemstrup is an experienced data scientist and cheminformatics specialist with a focus on human safety and phenotyping. Currently serving as the Digital Portfolio Lead for Human Safety at Bayer, Torben has a history of roles including Cheminformatics Scientist and Head of the Data Mining Lab, and Computational Life Scientist, leading the development of a new phenotyping platform. Previous positions include Senior Scientist in Cheminformatics at Priaxon, where support was provided for drug design projects, and Postdoctoral research at KTH. Torben earned a PhD in Molecular Modelling and Molecular Dynamics from the University of Bergen and holds an MRes in Bioinformatics from the University of Glasgow. Additional experience includes IT consulting for R&D in drug development and as a research assistant focusing on metabolic network analysis.
