Varvara Nikolayenko

Varvara Nikolayenko is a Laboratory Head in Early Solid State at Bayer since September 2022, bringing extensive experience from previous roles including Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Limerick from March 2020 to September 2022, and dual roles as Head of Innovation at both Afriplex Pty Ltd and the Cannabis Research Institute of South Africa between November 2018 and March 2020. Varvara also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stellenbosch University from January 2016 to November 2018, contributing to novel research and supporting student projects under Professor Leonard Barbour. Varvara holds a Ph.D. in Supramolecular Chemistry from Stellenbosch University (2012-2015), a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (2011-2013), a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry (2009-2010), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Chemical Technology (2007-2009) from the same institution.
