Virginie Ducrot

Virginie Ducrot serves as a Group Leader in Terrestrial Ecotoxicology at Bayer since November 2014, overseeing a team of over 50 scientists dedicated to assessing the risk of plant protection products to terrestrial organisms. Ducrot has also held positions as Group Leader and Team Leader within Bayer's ecotoxicology department, focusing on improving the environmental profile of herbicides and managing a large team. Previous experience includes work as a regulatory ecotoxicologist, member of the OECD's Validation Management Group for Ecotoxicity Testing, and external expert for the European Food Safety Authority. Ducrot began her career as an Assistant Professor in Biology and Ecology at the Université d'Angers, later earning a PhD and Habilitation in Ecotoxicology. Throughout a career marked by significant contributions to both research and risk assessment, Ducrot has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and trained multiple PhD students.
