Wei Liao

Wei Liao is a Bayer Science Fellow and Senior Computer Vision Expert, recognized as part of the top 3% of R&D staff at Bayer. In their role, they develop algorithms for life science research and production, harnessing both classical image processing and deep learning techniques. Wei has made significant contributions to the field as an independent researcher, publishing papers as a single author in prestigious venues like CVPR 2022 and ICCV 2023, along with other first-author publications in journals such as TPAMI and TIP. Wei previously worked as a researcher at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen and completed a PhD in Computer Science at Heidelberg University.
