Sophia Rappoport

Sophia Rappoport has a diverse work experience. Sophia started their career at the Federal Ministry of Economics, Labour, and Tourism in Schwerin, where they completed an internship in the field of Trade and Industry promotion. Sophia then worked as a Business Audit Intern at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG before joining RappoportMed UG as an Executive Director of Marketing. Sophia later joined EY as an Assistant before transitioning to BayernLB, where they progressed from a Trainee in Financial Controlling and Accounting to an Assistant Vice President in Accounting and Product Control. Currently, they hold the position of VP Internal Audit at BayernLB NY.

Sophia Rappoport holds a Master of Science degree in Finance, Audit and Taxation from Bergische Universität Wuppertal, which they obtained in 2013. Sophia also completed a management program focused on Banking and Financial Institutions at the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon during the same time period. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Economics from Ruhr University Bochum in 2011. Sophia has obtained additional certifications, including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) from ACAMS in 2022, Controllers Best Practice - Stufe 1 from CA controller akademie in 2019, and IFRS 9 - Financial Instruments from IASeminars in 2018. Sophia has also completed a course on Financial Markets at Yale University.
