Beata Dorota Lakeberg

Beata Dorota Lakeberg is a highly experienced professional in the fields of history, politics, and translation. Currently serving as a Fachreferentin at Bayerische Staatsbibliothek since May 2023, Lakeberg specializes in history, politics, military, economics, geography, and European ethnology. Prior to this role, Lakeberg worked at Württembergische Landesbibliothek as Stellvertretende Sammlungsleiterin Bibliothek für Zeitgeschichte, where responsibilities included advising researchers and managing collections related to politics and contemporary history post-1945. Lakeberg has also held positions such as a sworn interpreter and authorized translator for the Polish language, research project coordinator at Institut für Zeitgeschichte München-Berlin, content partnership development manager at Ancestry, and educator at various institutions. Lakeberg completed a PhD in history from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and holds a Master’s degree from Nicolaus Copernicus University.
