Felix Horn

Felix Horn possesses extensive experience in 3D digitization and restoration, currently serving as a 3D officer at Bayerische Staatsbibliothek since 2012, focusing on the digital representation of art and cultural heritage through bavarikon. Previously, Felix Horn was a scientific associate at Technische Universität München from January 2004 to June 2012, specializing in the creation of panoramic and object movies for virtual tours of the mausoleum of the First Emperor Qin Shihuangdi and in 3D digitization and color reconstruction of selected terracotta warriors. Felix Horn also worked briefly as a restorer at Münchner Stadtmuseum in December 2003, where responsibilities included the cleaning and conservation of furniture for the exhibition "München. Stadt des Jugendstils." Felix Horn began the professional journey with a scientific traineeship at Bayerisches Nationalmuseum from April 2002 to November 2003. Educational qualifications include a Diplom Restaurator (Univ.) from Technical University of Munich and a Staatlich geprüfter Restaurator for furniture and wooden objects from Goering Institut e.V. Fachakademie zur Restauratorenausbildung.
