Heather D. Davis

Heather D. Davis is an experienced program manager and creative translator with a strong background in language studies and writing. Since August 2020, Heather has managed the Essay Counseling division at Tokyo Academics, overseeing recruitment, team coordination, client communication, marketing, and quality control. Prior to this role, Heather worked as an essay counselor, assisting high school students with college application essays. In addition, Heather translates anime subtitles for Bayi LLC and has a history of freelance translation work, including notable publications in The Paris Review and Chicago Review. Heather's earlier experiences include a fellowship at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies, an internship at the International Crisis Group, and a consular internship with the U.S. Department of State. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and International Relations from Brown University.
