Dr. Scott Petersen

Dr. Scott Petersen, DBH, LMFT, LISAC, has extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse counseling. Serving as the Clinical Director at Denova Collaborative Healthcare from May 2014 to September 2024, Dr. Petersen previously held the position of Director of Outpatient Services at Mountain Health and Wellness (2013-2014) and directed the Mesa Outpatient Clinic at TERROS (2005-2013). With a strong background in managing behavioral health services for individuals on federal parole or probation at Bridge Counseling Associates, Dr. Petersen also contributed as a Substance Abuse Therapeutic Partner at Scripp's La Jolla Memorial Hospital. Dr. Petersen holds a Doctor of Behavioral Health degree from Arizona State University, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Additionally, Dr. Petersen is active in continuing education as a presenter and trainer.
