Ahmad Khayer Dastjerdi

Ahmad Khayer Dastjerdi, PhD, PEng is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in research, development, and project management. Ahmad is currently serving as a Principal R&D Engineer at Baylis Medical Company since April 2014. Prior to this role, they held positions at McGill University, Northeastern University, Iran Khodro Automobile Manufacturer, Sharif University of Technology, Iran Khodro Car Manufacturing Co, Tolid Darou Co., and Crystal Melamine department, Khorasan Petrochemical Co. Throughout their career, Ahmad has been involved in various research projects, including designing and fabricating a Helium-driven projectile accelerator and developing analytical models for dynamic plastic materials. Ahmad also has experience in industrial internships and undergraduate teaching supervision. Ahmad holds a PhD and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Ahmad Khayer Dastjerdi, PhD, PEng completed their education in a chronological manner. Ahmad began their academic journey at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2002 to 2006, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering. During this time, they also pursued a second Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering, which they completed in 2008. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology. Finally, they attended McGill University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
