Baylor Genetics
Christian Taborda is a skilled Data Scientist with extensive experience in developing statistical models and data analysis within the biotechnology and energy sectors. Currently serving as a Data Scientist II at Baylor Genetics since January 2018, Christian has focused on improving genomic data models using SVM and LDA algorithms and has created a web-based utility system for patient data management. Prior roles include Data Scientist - Operations Engineer at Petrex S.A., where Christian increased data classification accuracy through statistical model adjustments and algorithm development, and Data Engineer - Operations Engineer at Discovery Energy, where operational procedures for workover rigs were analyzed and improved. Christian's early career includes work as an Operations Engineer at Penline, conducting pressure tests in oil wells. Christian holds a Master's degree in Data Analytics from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
