Juan Septien has extensive experience in sales and strategic sourcing within the chemical industry. Currently serving as Channel Sales Manager at BAYSTAR™ / Bayport Polymers LLC since November 2021, Juan previously held key positions at Westlake Chemical, including Indirect Sales Manager for Polyethylene and Strategic Sourcing Manager for Direct Materials, from March 2007 to November 2021. Prior to that, Juan was the Head of Strategic Purchasing at Grupo IDESA from July 2004 to February 2007. Education includes an MBA in International Business and Supply Chain from École nationale des ponts et chaussées (2002-2004), a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1994-1999), and an exchange program at McGill University (1997-1998) in Chemical Engineering.
