Weijen Chang

Vice Chair, Clinical Affairs/co-chair BCH Safety Council at Baystate Health, Inc.

Weijen Chang serves as an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs/Quality and Safety at the University of Massachusetts Medical School since November 2016, while also co-chairing the BCH Safety Council and leading initiatives for patient safety. Concurrently, Weijen Chang holds the position of Director of Pediatric Residency Research and Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Baystate Health. Additionally, Weijen Chang is the Editor in Chief of The Hospitalist and has previously held editorial roles within the same publication. Prior experience includes roles as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, an Associate Clinical Professor at UC San Diego Health System, and director positions at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Massachusetts General Hospital. Weijen Chang's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University, a Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College, and residency training in Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Duke University, complemented by a senior house officer position in pediatrics at the University of Oxford.
