Michael Harrit

Michael Harrit is a seasoned professional specializing in technology strategy and sustainability, with extensive experience in leadership roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Lead Architect - Sustainability at BBC since January 2018, Michael focuses on reducing the environmental impact of broadcast solutions and enhancing digital services. Prior to this role, Michael held strategic positions at BBC as Lead Architect - International & Commercial, and at Sony Professional Solutions Europe as Marketing Director. Michael's earlier experience includes technology leadership at NTV Broadcasting Company and NIRAS Multi Media Consulting A/S, as well as a substantial tenure at Danmarks Radio as Chief Architect and other roles, where significant contributions were made to digital transformation and media technology initiatives. Michael holds an Executive MBA from the Center for Technology, Economics and Management and a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
