Nick Thompson

Nick Thompson has extensive experience in finance and strategy, currently serving as the Acting Head and Finance Business Partner in BBC Strategic Finance since October 2017, where efforts focus on optimizing spending and ROI for a £4 billion budget. Previously, Nick held the position of Director of Operational Performance & Strategy at Moving Picture Company, driving revenue and P&L growth from 2011 to 2017. Additional roles include Client Profitability Manager at Lowe and Partners Worldwide, Strategy and Budget Manager at Medici Group, and Strategy Manager/Head of Strategy at Ascent Media Group. Nick also worked as a consultant and writer from 2001 to 2004, following a corporate finance role at Citi. An alumnus of the University of Oxford, Nick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Classics.
