Mohammad Khasib Choirul Umam

Mohammad Khasib Choirul Umam has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Mohammad Khasib is currently working as a Data Scientist at bbp, where they conduct statistical data analysis on HVAC systems and develops AI/ML models to optimize their performance and efficiency. Mohammad Khasib also develops ETL pipelines and apps for AI/ML deployment.

Prior to this, Mohammad worked as a Senior Data Scientist at PT GTech Digital Asia, where they collected, cleansed, and transformed data for analysis. Mohammad Khasib conducted data analysis and experiments to discover meaningful insights and built dashboards for visual understanding. Mohammad Khasib also developed machine learning models and APIs for deployment, working on projects such as recommendation engines, customer segmentation, and cross-selling predictions.

Before joining PT GTech Digital Asia, Mohammad served as a Data and Informatics Lecturer at the Indonesia International Institute for Life-Sciences, where they imparted knowledge on data and informatics. Mohammad Khasib also worked as a Data Analytics and Full Stack Developer during their thesis project at The University of Queensland, where they gained experience in data analytics and full stack development.

In addition, Mohammad has experience as an IELTS Tutor at Global English Pare, where they educated students on the subject and supervised their learning progress. Mohammad Khasib also worked as a Data Analytics and Full Stack Developer Intern at the University of Jember, where they gained valuable experience in the field. Additionally, they served as a GIS Lab Assistant during the same time period.

Earlier in their career, Mohammad worked as a Web Developer at PALAPA, a student community for environmental activities and adventure. Mohammad Khasib also interned as a Web Developer at Modal Bangsa High School.

Mohammad Khasib Choirul Umam began their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Information Systems degree from the University of Jember, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Mohammad Khasib later pursued further studies and completed a Master of Computer Science (Management) degree at The University of Queensland from 2016 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Mohammad Khasib Choirul Umam has obtained several certifications. Mohammad Khasib received certifications in Dataiku ML Practitioner and Dataiku Core Designer from Dataiku in December 2022 and October 2022, respectively. Mohammad Khasib also acquired certifications in various data science and machine learning areas from LinkedIn, such as "The Data Science of Retail, Sales, and Commerce," "Applied Machine Learning: Foundations," "Data Science Foundations: Data Mining," "Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012," and "SQL Server Integration Services (2015)." Finally, they obtained an IELTS certification from IALF Education for Development in January 2015.
