Matthew Shapiro

Matthew Shapiro is the Director of Business Administration and General Counsel at BBR Partners since 2014. Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Consultant in the Legal and Corporate Affairs Group at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, providing investment banking counsel on corporate and securities law across 20 countries. From 2009 to 2012, Matthew was the Principal and Counsel at Credit Suisse's Asset Management Finance, overseeing legal and compliance matters. Matthew's earlier experience includes roles as Vice President and Counsel at AllianceBernstein and Corporate Associate positions at Gunderson Dettmer and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, specializing in M&A, securities, and private equity transactions. Matthew holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD from Columbia Law School, and a BA in Political Science from UCLA.
