Julian Cubero

Lead Economist at BBVA Research

Julian Cubero is an accomplished economist with significant experience in various leadership roles at BBVA. Since October 2006, Julian has served as the Lead Economist of Economics of Climate Change and the Chief Economist for Economic Scenarios within BBVA Research, where responsibilities include characterizing the global economic scenario and managing quarterly economic forecasts. Additionally, Julian's role involves enhancing quantitative analysis tools to improve economic insight. Julian also holds expertise as Chief Economist for Mexico Macro Analysis and Spain at BBVA Research since November 2018. An alumnus of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Julian earned a degree in Econometrics and quantitative economics from 1985 to 1990.
