Pedro Abalo Martínez

Pedro Abalo Martínez is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and product ownership. Currently serving as Tech Lead for BBVA Global Software Development since July 2018, Pedro oversees the core banking application and also held the role of Innovation Product Owner for BBVA's Global Mobile Banking Platform. Prior to BBVA, Pedro worked at BEEVA from 2008 to 2018, fulfilling roles as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Project Manager, leading mobile channel initiatives for BBVA Spain. Early career experience includes positions as CTO at Instituto Enerxético de Galicia and fullstack developer at Bull, along with roles at Aubay and Sermicro focusing on J2EE applications. Pedro holds a degree in Technical Computer Engineering from Universidade da Coruña and a master's degree from thePower, completed in 2021.
