Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as an Executive Advisor at GreenFire Energy Inc since July 2022 and as the Technology Finance Industry Head at BBVA, now part of PNC, since October 2019. Previously, Chris held senior leadership roles including SVP and Regional Director at Umpqua Bank, where responsibilities included the development of strategic market plans and industry verticals, and SVP Group Head at Union Bank, focusing on the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector. Chris's career began at Scotia Capital as Managing Director and Industry Head of the Technology and Electronics Group. Educational qualifications include an MBA/MIM in Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and an Executive Management program from Ivey Business School. Chris also holds a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Economics and Finance from Augsburg University.
